Serious people who are commitment minded. Check the Commitee Meetings page. EVERY group should have a representative present at each of the Committee Meetings.
People who are committed to service are needed to take shifts at the SIA office in Patchogue. Shifts are available from 9:00 AM to noon & noon to 3:00 PM. Monday through Friday; Saturday (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM).   Please call Karen at the SIA office. (654-1150)

The Treatment Facilities Committee meets at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month at the SIA office in Patchogue.

To volunteer as a chair or speaker for a treatment facility, please contact the Treatment Chair at treatment@suffolkny-aa.org.

The treatment committee is asking for used or new AA-approved literature to be donated to treatment facilities. Donations can be dropped off at the SIA office in Patchogue.

If you have a commitment to chair a meeting at a treatment facility in Suffolk County, please email the treatment chair with the following information or have your SIA representative give it to the chair at the next SIA meeting.

  • Your name
  • The facility at which you have the commitment
  • The day and time of your commitment
  • Your phone number and email address

People who are interested in speaking at Suffolk County Correctional Facilities must download and fill in the PDF forms. Please follow the directions closely.

Please download the attached clearance form, complete the top portion and email it back, along with a clear copy, enlarged if possible, of your Drivers License front and back to correct@suffolkny-aa.org for processing. Clearance can take up to several weeks so please be patient.

The inmates are in need of speakers as often as permissible and you are doing a huge service to these individuals by volunteering your time, strength, hope and experience. Thank you!
